Hey there,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd like to add some insights. Listening to DJ only happens when you press play. To listen, you just need to head to Home, click on the DJ card and press play (you can also find it in your Library). If you don't want to use the feature, you just need to press stop, exit out of it, or hit play on another track, playlist, podcast or audiobook. That way you won't listen to the DJ.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Thanks dude!

I'd much prefer to be able to DISABLE the "DJ" feature. I don't want to see it in my feed in ANY way. I accidentally bumped it on my phone and now its right at the top of my page. It's horrible anyways- the voice over is terrible. I can manage my own listening experience, thank you.

this is terrible it Interrupts my Playlist for ai talking . then started playing country and I don't have a single country song in any Playlist.  this is utter garbage. if I can't turn it off il be canceling the family account

Kudos to Deswizzle, he said ”Found it Guys! If you want to remove it from your library go to your recently played on the bottom home page & hold the DJ icon and a box will pop up that says add/ remove from playlist”. Here is my version to simplify Deswizzle if I may.
So open Spotify, go to your playlist so to see that dj icon, hold down the last song you played, while at the same time hold down the dj Icon and a box pops up that says add / or remove. Click on the remove and voila’ dj gone! No longer in your playlist.

I REALLY hate the AI DJ. It takes up half my homescreen, making it easy to accidentally click on. When this happens, it erases all the songs I had queued up. Please give us a way to disable it! Absolutely hate the "AI DJ". 👎👎👎

there isn't any way to delete the DJ for me. when I did the stuff you mentioned it won't allow me to. when I hit another playlist it just goes back to the DJ. there isn't a way to do it and at this point i just want it to go away.

So, open Spotify to see dj listed in your playlists. You need to then hold down the last song you played,(on bottom if using iPhone) then hold down the dj that shows in your playlist and the pop up will only happen then. You are doing it wrong 😑 if you don’t see the pop up. Hold the song, then tap on dj icon in playlist

Spotify on Android.

I'm not sure if I've managed to remove the Horrid DJ feature. It said it wasn't supported on my Bluetooth speaker. Now I can't play two songs in a row. This makes Spotify useless. I hope it gets sorted soon. Otherwise I'm paying for a service I can't use.

I completely agree. This should be an option in settings. I despise the DJ

I accidentally clicked the dj while scrolling through recommendations.  now the dj is stuck in my libarby and i would love to remove it. please implement an option to remove the dj from your library or turn it off so it doesn’t show up.

I'd like to add to the spotify community that I clicked on the dj once, I immediately hated it, but now it's basically pertetually on my "home screen" or whatever you want to call the main interface that I use to interact with my playlists. I want to make it go away.

So I’m not the one that found the solution, it was Deswizzle. Check the post..

Hello, I have been trying for months asking on this platform. Someone gave a remedy that didn’t work for me. Something about going to the last song then holding down the icon(?) but nothing happened for me. But! Somehow I hit SOMETHING I have no idea and suddenly it said “remove from playlist” I have no idea how it happened.
But once in a while the stupid DJ thing will show up then go away. It is so annoying
I’m a voice actress, and this is THE WORST annoying voice! Wow

If you want to remove it from your library go to your recently played on the bottom home page & hold the DJ icon and a box will pop up that says add/ remove from playlist.

I would also like the option to hide this and disable the feature.

i don’t like that it is now in my Library view and I can’t remove it. I’d like the option to hide it, just like unfollowing a playlist

go to the home tab, scroll down to recently played, and hold down on dj then remove from library

If someone at Spotify is listening, it would be good when you add something as annoying a DJ you allowed users the ability to hide this feature.  Currently it is bing forced on paying users and will annoy many of them, me included.  I want to remove in the same way as I remove an unwanted playlist, but there is no option to do this.  Why not focus on some real value and add the long promised uncompressed audio feature.
