How do I turn off the ai dj

The ai dj aromatically turned on but I don't want it, does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd like to add some insights. Listening to DJ only happens when you press play. To listen, you just need to head to Home, click on the DJ card and press play (you can also find it in your Library). If you don't want to use the feature, you just need to press stop, exit out of it, or hit play on another track, playlist, podcast or audiobook. That way you won't listen to the DJ.

I pay to listen to Spotify so that I don't have listen to voices. Why do you think I want to listen to an AI DJ. It's beyond absurd that the voice and fading can't be turned off.

Agreed, I hate that DJ voice, completely annoyed, just play music and shut it off please or give us the ability to lose the lousy DJ in settings

I hate the DJ. I don't want to hear it and I certainly don't want something that takes up 90 of the UI for something useless like that. If you want a functionality to play songs you think I like, fine, but the stupid chatty AI DJ that I can't disable is just too much. Gimme an option to remove it, it is close to a deal breaker in your app.

This suggestion doesn't work. I'm wanting to turn off the AI (auto-mix**bleep**, too. I haven't turned it on and frustrated that spotify would turn this feature on without a direct and clear way to turning it off.

Please, please , please allow me to delete or fully turn off this stupid DJ thing. I tapped on it by mistake and I hate it. Sounds like a horrible version of Radio X. I want to listen to the music that I want to listen to, I don't want any voice/AI interruptions - that's what the radio is for. let me get rid of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like anything from it. Can't see the upcoming queue. Can't see the artwork. The voice is annoying. There is no promt, how does it knows my mood? The crossfade is disabled in my preferences but this cross-fades the songs. 

Without promt I think that this cannot be called "AI".

I would like to be able to turn off the voice and just have a constant reel of songs playing in sets of 5 like the DJ does. The DJ feature is great, the voice is horribly irritating and breaks the immersion and flow of listening to tracks.
Can his voice be disabled?

I like the idea of an AI DJ that can select music for me to listen to.  The DJ Voice is annoying and there needs to be an option to disable the narration.

What you're suggesting here is if we don't like it, don't use it.  That is not an acceptable response from Spotify to paying customers.

I see that similar requests have existed for a year or more.  This suggests to me that Spotify isn't really considering our requests.  That the DJ Voice isn't available in speaker mode suggests that someone in the product development team fully realizes it's annoying.

Please implement this option to disable AI DJ Voice narration ASAP.  Thank you.

I don’t like it - but it keeps popping up every time I open Spotify- near the top of the choices to play music - I can’t get rid of it!!!!!

I find the DJ is better at selecting music I like than the Discover Weekly feature but the narrative between tracks is distracting and off-putting. I don't want to use the feature because of the DJ voice. This is UX Dev 101.

I would love to see the text the DJ would say in the Spotify UI. E.g. if there's an "explanation" for why it picked this song. But agree with the other comments -- I don't want the AI voice talking to me in between songs.

DJ is absolute garbage. I don't even want to see it. No one is forcing me to press play, true. But it takes up space on my home page where I'd rather see an actual recommendation or playlist that I want and would actually appreciate. I tried the DJ and it literally played songs that I hate. Not helpful. Just give us a toggle to turn it off.
