Hey there,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
In this case, we'd like to add some insights. Listening to DJ only happens when you press play. To listen, you just need to head to Home, click on the DJ card and press play (you can also find it in your Library). If you don't want to use the feature, you just need to press stop, exit out of it, or hit play on another track, playlist, podcast or audiobook. That way you won't listen to the DJ.
Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.
I actually don't mind the idea of a DJ, but this is not a good start. If you're going to have a DJ, make it worth something.... know the artist(s), background of the song, an upcoming tour, anything related. Stating, "here's something you listen to" is pointless.
Plus, the AI isn't great. I was nearly immediately greeted by two genres and multiple artists I'd never listen to....ever.
It's just like the home page. Spotify is more interested in pushing its investments, views, etc., than those of the paying subscriber.
Found it Guys! If you want to remove it from your library go to your recently played on the bottom home page & hold the DJ icon and a box will pop up that says add/ remove from playlist.
Users should have the ability to hide or disable the AI DJ feature. It is intruding on one's ability to curate their own music library as it shows up under "My Playlists" but may not want it there seeing as I did not ask for it.
The DJ feature is really annoying, I don't use it but every so often I accidentally click on it or it just starts. It would be great if there was a way to either disabled the dj or have a way to remove it from my library. I saw ideas that say remove the voice but there should be an option to disable completely from ones account.
This is the dumbest feature I’ve ever seen. Who wants some voice- devoid of any personality- interrupting their music? It’s totally ridiculous that you felt the need to jump on the AI bandwagon and rolled**bleep** out. I want to DELETE it completely. I don’t want to see it, I don’t want it to monitor my listening, I don’t want it to show up in my library. How do I do that?
When do you expect to release the feature to mute the DJ and just let the random music play instead ?
It should be available already!
I still want the random playlist to be available, I just don`t want a random AI DJ commenting once in a while. I really find that annoying.
I just really want to remove it from my library. I tried DJ once, hated it, and now it is just lurking there in my library even though I do not want it and will never use it again. Is there a way to remove it? Please oh please say yes.
I want the option to take that dirty AI garbage fire out of MY library. Thanks!
