Hey there,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
In this case, we'd like to add some insights. Listening to DJ only happens when you press play. To listen, you just need to head to Home, click on the DJ card and press play (you can also find it in your Library). If you don't want to use the feature, you just need to press stop, exit out of it, or hit play on another track, playlist, podcast or audiobook. That way you won't listen to the DJ.
Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.
is there a way i can remove the dj from where my playlists are because it just annoys me lowk and i don’t want it at all
How do we hide the dj from the home screen? When I load up home screen it is always there staring at me. I'd like to just hide it entirely as it takes up the whole screen. Is there a setting to completely hide it?
if someone want this, that's great. but i want to listen to music, and value not having someone talking between songs. how do i remove "DJ" from the playlists in my (premium) account?
it does seems like a giant step backwards. no ads, rants, rambling... we listen to music. if someone likes the voice, great. but for the rest of us, we need to be able to remove it...
There is no way to turn if off as yet. If we keep threatening to leave Spotify or let it be known that we are displeased, hate it, didn't ask for it, don't give a **bleep** for this ai dj app, then down the road I'm sure there will be a way to delete, remove it completely.
I want to remove it from my library. It’s terrible.
Here's the thing, we understand fully how the DJ works. What wasn't taking into consideration is ones choice of keeping it or removing it. This is what the fuss is all about. In life we have choices, the way this dj was presented was put out there for us to enjoy as another way of listening but "here's the thing" putting it out there without the ability to remove it takes away our selection of choice. It has been added on to "my playlist screen" taking up space that I do not want there. I hate the dj voice, the dj brings back a radio voice to me of the infamous dj Wolfman Jack. I didn't listen to him then and sure as "bleep" don't want a radio voice today. Here's another case scerio, it's also one voice, a males voice, I mean, hello! I fully understand I can shut the voice off and play music and so on. It's the "idea" that you, Spotify has taken our control away in what we choose to add on by not allowing us to remove this dj completely. It is an invasion, an intrusion of ones privacy, my freedom of choice. I wonder what's next, you choosing a playlist that I can't remove as well? Where does it stop? I have choices, options to move away from listening to Spotify altogether and go back to Apple, or Amazon, etc. We pay for this privilege, this right to have Spotify in our lives, and the beauty of it is, it's our choice of music, our personal entertainment in which "we change", we once controlled, to keep songs to play over and over again, our songs playlist, your paid listeners want to hear. This dj is not a choice when one cannot remove it permanently. Thanks for listening, this is your choice. Julie Johnston
Thank you for those super simple instructions on how to close that playlist. What I was wondering was how do you get the music without the super annoying DJ telling you things you already know or just don't want to hear. I really like the music that selected I just don't want to listen to a freaking DJ
i found a slight workaround if you like the music mix but don’t wanna hear the voice, just skip ahead through like the next 10 songs and then rewind back and the djs voice won’t play again for a bit
The auto selected songs are good. We just need an option to turn OFF the DJ. It's annoying.
I hate the DJ icon and feature withe the ai repulsive voice but because I tried it, now it’s in my library and I can’t remove it. How do I get rid of this annoying feature off my library?
I agree I hate this and want the icon gone
But Spotify hasn’t given any help or answers. You don’t get it, people HATE this dj voice and feature and want the ability to get rid of it. You’re missing the point
Boooo! You are not reading or listening to the complaints. That’s not a sufficient response

My Question or Issue
After the DJ was introduced a playlist was added to my Your Library tab. When I choose the DJ playlist the triple dots are greyed out while the AI is talking, not allowing me the option to delete DJ from my Your Library tab. Is there a way of deleting DJ from my Your Library tab?
That’s exactly the question I’ve been asking for an answer to but you said it much more concise than I. Thank you!
Yes, remove the AI voice. I like that playlists, but I have the announcements. Make it stop.
I know isn’t it hard to do AND so annoying! AND the icon is on my library I can’t remove it! Sooo annoying
The auto part of the dj “feature” is so obnoxious! I have to turn the volume on my phone down all the way before I open the app to give me enough time to get out of the dj feature. Why do they force it on you?!? Aural rape!
Imagine if a fake chef stuffed food they chose into your mouth as soon as walked into a restaurant before you’ve had a chance to sit down or look at the menu!
That’s basically this DJ feature.
