How do I turn off the ai dj

The ai dj aromatically turned on but I don't want it, does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Making my phone randomly speak and address me by name in contexts when it has never done so when I have diagnosed mental health conditions without warning or consent and without a way to disable it is an accessibility issue. This feature as implemented is ablist and unethical.

The DJ is naff as we say in the UK! Sure it's easy  to just not use  it but I only  want to move to the bottom of the playlists but it seems you can't .

Regarding the DJ. If you do like a DJ I think English speakers people would probably prefer a local accent.

Found a solution that at least gets it off your recently played sidebar on desktop.

Right click on "DJ" -> "Create folder"

New folder appears with 0 playlists.  Drag the "DJ" to that folder.  Now, right click, select delete, select confirm.

It's very far from a perfect solution, but at least it keeps the damn thing off your sidebar and on the home screen where you can easily avoid clicking on it.

However, Spotify?  If I wanted a DJ, I'd be listening to analog radio.  Please let your members opt out of services (or better yet, let them opt in and then let them opt back out if they decide they don't want it.)

I don't want the DJ to show up in my Library AT ALL. I clicked on the thing by accident in the first place and have no plan on ever using it again. Why is there not an unfollow or delete option, as there is for any other playlist in your library? I am a premium user, have no interest in this feature, and do not want it to be permanently viewable in my library.

Good catch. The thing's seemingly permanent fixture is a nasty feature.

go to the home tab, scroll down to recently played, hold down on dj, remove from library.

Create a new folder in your playlist library - and bury this annoyingly stupid ai 'feature' there. It at least hides it a level deeper than the other playlists so it's not as distracting. Unfortunately I haven't found a way to disable the stoopid icon in the toolbar... 😖

I see others have posted too about this topic asking for a complete opt out of the AI DJ.  Please consider me added to that list.  I realize bots and AI are already part of the app, however this addition is concerning from a privacy point of view.  I do not need my listening choices analyzed and used for other purposes.  I am paying for this app so selling my data should not be part of the app. Having an AI decide what it thinks I want to listen to is not ok.   I request a way to opt out of the DJ AI.  I would consider not using the app if there is no way to disable to DJ app feature. Just not pressing play does not give me the confidence that the AI is "turned off".  I appreciate your consideration.

This is Just annoying. I Don't Need any one or AI Telling Me or Trying to pick Something for Me especially when I'm Already Listening to Something I Pick and Like and Enjoying. Then this AI comes out of No Where.  I Just Don't Like It.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I've found that it's probably a lot faster to cancel my Premium subscription than it is to try and defeat the ridiculous DJ feature. It would take such a small effort on Spotify's behalf to actually listen to the PAYING members of this community and do as we ask. If I wanted to listen to an American hip-hop DJ prattle on with senseless content, I'll tune in to commercial radio where the advertisers pay for the airtime. In the Spotify case, we pay, therefore we either get what we want or we pull the plug and go back to Apple Music and SiriusXM. Come on, Spotify, at least have the corporate responsibility to respond to your customers and change it, or confirm that this is how you're serving it up but rest assured that if you do neither, we'll make our own decision. Wake Up!

that seems rather... extreme. there are workarounds; i mean, i haven't seen the DJ since i removed it. so no need to give up your Premium account, playlists, saves... because of this. and (much as i hated the DJ option), no corporation can accommodate all of it's user's requests (altho i 100% agree about this one). anyway, easy to fix, and then... life goes on. 👍

Please let us turn this feature off! The icon is such an eyesore and no one wants to hear anyone talk.

go to the home tab, scroll down to recently played, hold down on dj and then it gives the option to remove from library!

How do we remove it from our library? I clicked on it to see what it was then it automatically added it to my library and I don’t want it there. I honestly kind of despise the DJ and wish we could disable it entirely.

go to the home tab, scroll down to recently listened to, hold down dj, it’ll bring up the option to remove from library

All I see when I do that is the DJ icon, Like, and Download. Nothing about removing from library.

that’s weird! i followed those steps and it’s no longer in my library.

I accidentally liked the DJ so it’s now in my library but now I can’t delete it, anyone know what to do?
