How to remove and stop past podcasts from being recommended

How to remove and stop past podcasts from being recommended

Last year I was searching for some podcasts of specific interest but after giving a couple shows a try and not liking what I found I gave up and moved on. Now both of these podcasts are not only looming in my "Your Shows" despite having never followed them in the first place I am also getting notifications when new episodes are posted. I'm not following either, I never clicked like, and I'm sick of seeing them every time I open the app I pay for. How do you remove or block these shows so I never have to see them again?

At the top of the page, there's 2 podcasts showing up. I have no idea why. I don't listen to and have never listened to them. Never even searched for them. And do not want Them stuck on my screen all the time.

The two with the blue dots. (Lad Bible+ai whatever garbage).

No way possible to remove them either. Why is this being forced on my screen?

When i look at "followed " podcasts there's nothing incorrect in the list. But on the podcast homepage they show up and can't be removed. Why?

Doesn't work. There's no option for "Not interested", And you never followed, listened to or searched for them in the first place. But they are stuck on your screen. Being shoved in your face as recommendations or listed right along side whatever you actually DO follow. And you get the little dots letting you know they are having new episodes.

I want to delete podcasts from my played history so certain podcasts aren't suggested to me or in my history.

Nokia XR 20 phone

Android 14

Spotify keeps recommending, queueing and playing podcasts I have no interest in. Eg Gary's economics and geography by geoff. They are not on my shows list. How do I stop them. I never want to hear them or see them again.

Great tip! It worked!

It doesn't work. Podcast is still there.

I read the recommendations but all I see is PIN not option to delete and not even the word delete, I don't like getting random podcasts sent to me and now I can't delete them Help

I'm closing my spotify account, I loathe all podcasts and refuse to be paying a premium subscription to a service that cannot be disabled. It is impossible to remove this from my home screen "so the rumours are true".

And the "solved" link is totally wrong. As much as I loathe Apple Music, it cannot be worse than this pos.

I've done everything instructed. Clicked on 'not interested' and I STILL get a podcast I hate in my feed. I mean it pops up every damn time I let the feed select the next podcast. I'm so frustrated wit the Spotify app right now. I mean I don't want to listen to some things and I am so sick of having the algorithm shove them down my throat.

NONE of the things suggested above work. I'm so frustrated with this app.

This solution doesn't work it pushes it on your face more.  Then plays it automatically when you're done with a show

I can't find this option. Was it removed in a later appointment update? I checked both desktop and Android app, but there is no way to remove a podcast from the My Shows list.

It appears that the "Not interested" option was removed in a subsequent update. I really want to remove a podcast from "Your shows" on my home screen in the Android app. I listened to a couple episodes that were recommended by a friend, but I despise the podcast.

The problem is, I have done this multiple times and the podcast continues to autoplay. How can a podcast that I never searched for and actively indicate "not interested" in continually autoplay? And especially when I have new episodes of podcasts that i have subscribed to not played yet. This seems like an unnecessarily difficult task (to remove a podcast from ever being recommended), especially when it's not effective, for a relatively simple settings feature (i.e. "I never want to listen to this podcast again"). I am paying for my subscription, why is this so difficult to accomplish?

I’m at my wits’ end with this. I do not want to listen to this financial audit podcast that keeps getting shoved down my throat. At this point, just hearing the host’s voice makes my blood boil, and I can’t seem to get away from it.

I’m seriously about to cancel my Spotify subscription—clearly they don’t care about their users if this is the experience they’re pushing.

Facing a similar situation. I really like Podcasts but every time my current one ends I am suddenly listening to something I cannot stand. You cannot remove these podcasts and I'm forced to just turn my audio off as I am NOT going to interact with my mobile phone while driving.

I listened to maybe one or two episodes of a certain podcast. Turns out, I don't like the content and I don't want to hear it any more. Now, it's somehow wormed its way into my algorithm and will get added to my Queue and autoplay from there. How do I keep this from happening? Is there a "Hide Content" option, the way there's a "Hide Song" option in an artist's Radio Playlist?

Doesn’t work for me 😞 podcast still visible just all are marked read now

This doesn't work, I still see podcasts, some of the same podcasts I said I was not interested in. To be clear, I don't want ANY podcasts. or audiobooks for that matter. I'm only here for music. Having podcasts shoveled at me takes away from my experience. I want none of it.

This appears to be a feature request, that if it were implemented, might help the described problem. It is certainly not a solution, because to be a solution it would have to already exist.
