My Question or Issue
I created a playlist that I can't delete. I right-click on the playlist, select "Delete," confirm that's what I want to do by clicking "Delete" again in the pop-up box―and then nothing happens, no matter how many times I click "Delete." The confirmation dialogue box doesn't even go away, it simply sits there as if I haven't even clicked anything.
I've signed out and signed back in, closed and re-opened the app, I've cleared my cache, etc., and restarted my machine; the playlist is still there and the delete option still doesn't work. What's wrong, why can't I simply delete a playlist I myself created?
Hey @D1agn0sedS0unds,
Thanks for posting here 🙂
Could you try deleting the playlist on another device to see if that makes a difference?
It's also a good idea to check with these steps if the playlist show up in the recover playlists menu.
Keep us posted.
No, using a different device doesn't help; the same problem occurs on both my laptop and my phone.
Yes, the playlist does show up in the recovery list, which I suppose indicates it has been in some way deleted; but since the playlist still shows up in my account as if it hasn't been deleted, that wouldn't appear to make much difference.
Hey @D1agn0sedS0unds,
Thanks for the info 🙂
Just to double-check- you can see the playlist in Your Library or on your home screen?
In case you can see it only on the home screen, for example in Recently Played, that is an expected behavior.
Keep us in the loop.
It only appears under the customary "Good day/evening" on the splash/home page. If you look at my first post, you'll see an attached screenshot of the only place it appears. It doesn't appear in any list, including "Recently played," etc. To be clear, it never disappears; so if I navigate away from that "splash" page and return, it's there where it always is.
Hey @D1agn0sedS0unds,
Thanks for the info 🙂
This is an expected behavior. The shortcuts on the home page will eventually update the more other stuff you listen to.
In general deleted playlists can also be recovered from the account page in 90 days period.
Hope this clears things up. The Community is here for you if there's anything else!
