I'm from Ukraine and usually listened different music. But never listen russian, because I don't want in to be in my recommendations and because I don't like it usually. Last two weeks I listened ONLY ukrainian artists, even created playlist with them. And guess what I saw today in discover weekly? 11 songs from 30 are from russian artists. I'm shocked. I know that for western people, especially for developers, all Estern Europe are the same, but now they cross the line with this, because Russia invaded Ukraine and I never saw this huge amount of russian artists in my recommendations. Hope Spotify will be able to hire someone who see the difference and can write adeqate recommendtaion models.
Same issue. I am from Hungary and have never listened music with slavish language but now 19 recommendation form 30 are from that region. The list is not usable anymore since months.

My Question or Issue
Hi,
in my weekly mix there are in the last weeks several political (far) right musicians. I don't understand as none my playlists or followed artists contains such music. I do not want to hear this. Some of the bands are classified as alt-right music in Germany. The "-" button does not help, the next week there are similar bands in the playlist. It also includes artists that I set to "do not play" in the mobile app.
Is there any way to edit my taste profile to exclude such music?
Not interested- doesn’t work
don’t add this artist- doesn’t work
Hi there! I have the same problem with russian music. I like Spotify a lot, but now after listening to Ukrainian music, it is appears tons of russian artists in my recommendations. Can you improve your algorithms? Clicking not interesting does not help at all(
Hi,
I used to love Discover Weekly but for more than a year now it has become useless. It almost only recommends me songs I don't even understand and I don't see why. I never listen to songs in these languages. I am so mad that I pay for a service and it doesn't even work the way it is supposed to. I also hate the fact that I have to write this here instead of the ability to actually speak to someone from a support team in live chat.
Not sure how this helps but:

My Question or Issue
Hi @Kobebebe ,
Thank you for posting in the community. In this case- i would request you to disable any third party application on your account along with logging out of Spotify from public device if any to improve personalization
To improve recommendation please go on three dots near discover weekly and press on exclude from taste profile, and additionally on each song you can press on hide song as well to improve personalization

My Question or Issue
Hi
Addressing this situation for the second time. I liked "Explore Weekly" playlist for what it is created for, you know, exploring new music, but for last year its like listening ruzzian gov propaganda channel. despite I'm hidding all ruzzian tracks, every week I'm getting same 20-27 ruzzian songs from 30-track playlist(!). It can't be so software issue, I'm sure your algoritms cant be that dumb, not to get tint on what music I like and what absolutely not. Looks like it's deliberate choise by platform, to chovel me some ruzzian culture, despite my listening history. I want to see 0 ruzzian artists in my explore or suggested songs, can you mark my account as some "ruzzian hater" please, so I will be freed from such joy?
Thanks.
Hi Tanya,
I have tried all of those and nothing helps. Any other solutions?
Another week and again furked Spotify adds twelve pieces of Russian **bleep** to my playlist
I think, this this is a common problem for all family accounts. Do you guys participate in a such accounts?
Cause I have the same issue and there is no explanation of this problem for more than a year. Spotify Team doesn't give a F to solve this. Like it's ok, that their algorithms are broken. Money making service against humanity.
It might be connected, but my family is in Ukraine, and we listen to Ukrainian music—none of us touch anything russian. It’s been THREE (!!!) years since I first brought this up, and NOTHING has changed. I’ve completely stopped using Discover Weekly because it’s always flooded with russians. And now it’s even worse—I’m seeing them in Release Radar too. I have ZERO russian artists in my subscriptions, yet this garbage still shows up. Honestly, I’m about done with this platform. Why should I pay for a s****y service that blatantly ignores a simple request from its users?
Create you own thread. There is not need to "occupy" place for discuss ukraian complains with russian problems
Same thing here in Lithuania. I'd like ruzzian music banned from spotify altogether for what the uncivilized things they are doing. How do I at least ban it from my listening profile?
