My Question or Issue

I am trying to figure out if I can listen to a playlist beginning to end on a free account. I am playing music Leagues, and in order to get through the playlists, I would like to listen to the playlist and just the playlist.

I don’t mind ads, or if it has to be shuffled, I just want to stop it from peppering in songs that aren’t on the playlist.

I am aware that you can’t listen to a whole album on the free version, but surely playlists are different.

I don’t want to pay for a premium account just yet, because I am not entirely sold on music streaming.

Hey there @MTA-P,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

The app has some features that are different on the free service - both on desktop apps, web players and mobile apps. The free experience also works a bit differently compared to Premium.

Usually, when you're using the app on the free service, you can only listen to your playlists on Shuffle. On the mobile app, you may also see suggested tracks being added to the playlist, as it's expected on free accounts to hear some suggested tracks on a playlist created by you. However, the suggested tracks won't actually be permanently added to your playlist, unless you add them yourself 🙂

Feel free to have a look at this page - there you can find a few more details about the different plans. Also, if you haven't used Premium before, you might be eligible for a trial, so that you can try out Premium and the service further. Just head over to your account page and hover/click on Premium in the top right corner to check for any offers that are available to you.

Hope this clears things up! We're just a post away if you need anything else.

That’s fair. But I am not making the playlists. The Music Leagues app is. If another user with a premium account were to listen to the playlist, would they hear the suggested tracks too?

Hi @MTA-P,

Thanks for the reply. If a Premium user were to listen to a playlist and had features like Autoplay and Smart Shuffle off, then only the songs on the playlist should play.

Hope this clears things up.

When opening the app while listening to music, Spotify will occasionally automatically switch playlists with no input from me. One second I can be listening to a song, then when I open the app, it acts like I selected a different playlist to play.

My Question or Issue

Hello everyone. I've started using the app about a month ago and so far love it. I've accessed playlists shared with me and added some things of my own. All has been working fine until I recently opened the app to find all the songs in the playlists gone. Don't know what happened. I signed out and updated the app and no change. The playlists still show but the songs inside aren't showing or some show a 15 second preview and that's all. Any ideas? TIA!

Update: it's working on my Mac laptop. The issue seems to be the app

My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps interrupting my playlists. I only manage to listen to a small part of the playlist and then Spotify starts playing a queue of songs I might be interested in. But I wanted to listen to my own playlist, not the new songs and I can't get back to my playlist even by skipping.
