My Question or Issue

When I download mp3s on my PC (Windows) and put it in a playlist, when I open the app on my phone it would download it and becomes playable. But when I do the same thing on my macbook, it won't download the added song. Any fix to this?

Hi there @Pruck,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you enjoy your local files across all devices.

If you're trying to play the songs on your iPhone, make sure to import the tracks and follow this process in order to be able to play them. The old sync method is mostly being deprecated and the article shows the up-to-date method. If you want to play the files on any non-iOS device, follow these steps instead.

Hope this helps.

My Question or Issue

I have a local file playlist on my pc that I wanted to be able to play on my phone. So I set it to download like I usually do. Every local playlist up to this point had been working perfectly fine. For some reason this one was always missing some songs, different ones each time I tried to re-sync it. And I began continuously having the spotify downloading notification for days at a time with nothing actually attempting to download.

Eventually I decided to try resetting the entire app. So I deleted the cache and the data and uninstalled / reinstalled. That was a MISTAKE. Because now ALL of my local playlists are doing this. And rather than missing a handful of songs, I'm missing NEARLY ALL OF THEM. It won't improve no matter how many times I repeat this process or keep trying to resync. I'm waiting entire days between attempts!

Rather than toggling the download box off and on, just give us a "try downloading again" button of some kind. Maybe then I at least wouldn't lose the ones I've already got. Please tell me what I need to do to get it to work! Is there some secret force download button somewhere?! That would be nice!
