Main playlist downloads, then when I next open the app nothing is downloaded & I have to do it again

I use a SD memory card and constantly have this issue. It is a good quality card, I have tried formatting it, I've tried deleting the app and redownloading it, I have no other issues with the memory card and use it for other apps and storage.

It takes hours and whole days to download and then the next time I open the app nothing is downloaded and it has to do it all over again. I've checked settings on my phone and the app and can't find any issues. It's becoming the last straw with this app as I didn't have the same issues when I tried Tidal recently.

Hey @b14warrior,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you tell us the brand, model and operating system of the device you're using?

Also make sure there are no memory optimizing apps or settings affecting Spotify.

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

I'm using a Sony Xperia III 5 using the latest update of Android.

Hi there @b14warrior

Thanks for your reply.

No worries, you can check the Android version of your phone by heading to Settings > About phone > Software information.

On another note, could you check if the same happens with a different SD card?

Keep us posted.

Android 12.

I don't have a spare SD card. This one cost me a lot of money and is 500gb, I don't just have a spare lying around I can test out.

Hey @b14warrior,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you check this page out to find the relevant settings for your particular device and try turning off the battery/memory optimization?

Let us know how that went,

Cheers!
