Same issue here, using the Web version of Spotify. I specifically was really into a song yesterday, came back today and there's a different song from the same album instead! Most of the other songs seem the same, but bc that was the song I was most into, it was extremely noticeable.
I've been having this issue too for months with Discover Weekly and Release Radar (both on the desktop and iOS ver. of the app). If I don't listen to the full playlist within the same day, or even if I quit and reopen the app, it will reshuffle the songs and swap some with others. It's really annoying because I'm forced to listen to them in one go if I want to be sure I listen to all the songs. I wish this were at least optional and not the default behavior.
Hey folks,
Thanks for your replies.
We'd like to forward this to our tech so can you please let us know the following (whichever you haven't already):
We'll be on the lookout for your replies.
For me, I mostly notice it on my Release Radar. (But I pay more attention to it than Discover Weekly.)
Often I notice it happening within the first 24 hours of the new release radar, but I'm also not sure if this is mostly because I listen to it most on the Friday.
What I experience is that I'll get a new release radar, and it will be the same across all my devices/computers. Some times I'll notice that a song or two is unavailable to be played: I'm not sure if this is related, and don't recall if it always correlates with this issue. The next day I will see that the Release Radar has shuffled its order (on all devices), and a small number of songs will have been replaced (such as the unavailable songs, if any).
I will try to track the changes more closely in the future.
Here's my release radar history this week:
So on Sunday, I'm already on the third version of my Release Radar, with most of the songs staying each time, but some songs getting replaced, and the order completely re-shuffling each time.
Hey @--14,
Thanks for joining the thread and for the detailed info you've provided!
We've passed it over to our tech folks and this will remain on our internal teams' radar, but we're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at the moment. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.
The Community is always here if something else comes up.
Yesterday at 10:00 am (Tuesday) and then today at 10:34 am (Wednesday). It's mostly the same songs, shuffled around. Both read 62 songs, but the total play time changed by 1 minute, so presumably at least 1 song was swapped out. This happens multiple times a week and is limited to the Release Radar. I don't think it has ever happened for Discover Weekly for me.
Similar issues with reshuffling, but today I caught it deleting the song I was actually listening to from the playlist! iphone on the app homepage showed the little bars next to the release radar playlist, indicating the song playing was from that playlist. Then, I went into the playlist to further explore, and the song was gone! I quickly added the song to my liked playlist so I could check out the whole album later.
