New Episodes feed has been removed from My Library

When I opened the spotify app this morning to download any new episodes from my favourite podcasts in My Library, I found a note where my New Episodes feed would be to say this was now not part of My Library and that I needed to go to Home to find new episodes. So now I have to scroll endlessly through my home page to find the banner new episodes of podcasts, and then I have to open each episode individually to then click again to get to download them. Then when I go back to the homepage it takes me back to the top again and I have to scroll down the page AGAIN to find new episodes and go through the process each time. It was a stupid change and I don't understand why you would make it so much harder for users than previously. How is this beneficial?

Why change something that worked well and provide a "new solution" that doesn't do squat? You can include the new list, way or whatever, whilst still having the new episodes playlist.

They just want you to scroll through the stuff they want you to see, simple as that.  Another attempt to get your eyeballs and attention.  They care nothing for what you want.

This is not a solution. How about think about the user experience. This is such a dumb update. You're making it harder for me to enjoy my podcasts. You could have just updated the home screen without getting rid of the new episodes playlist.

Chiming in to say I Also hate the removal of New Episodes, the only feature I used on Spotify on a daily basis. I've been a premium subscriber for my entire adult life, but will be canceling my family plan at the end of the month if it isn't restored. Following Feed isn't even showing up for me.

FYI if this gets marked resolved, no it isn't 🙂

Hello Everyone. 

I found something in the Android app that may help if you only used New Episodes to see when they are available. 

Got to Home.  ..  

Tap on Podcast in the top menu.  ..  

Another Following menu item will fly-out/pop-out from that one. 

Tap on that, and there it is. 

By the way: Why do the Spotify people always seem to reply with useless marketing or PR trash, instead of just answering the question?

Day 2 of asking to please bring back the New Episodes folder in Your Library. Considering leaving Spotify.

This is the worst update I've ever seen on Spotify. If they don't change it back I am going to cancel my premium subscription.

The new format is terrible. I don't want to see episodes I've finished listening to. I also want to be able to check it off as finished so it's removed from my feed. If Spotify doesn't fix this I will be canceling my premium subscription.

Except this got rid of one of the most important features - removing new episodes that had already been listened to….so now we just scroll and hope we land on a missed episode? If I were a podcaster - particularly one who produces episodes that people tend to binge - I would be furious. As a listener, I am furious.
