My Question or Issue

On my old phone, spotify (before it updated) had a section for all recently played tracks. For example, if Spotify had recommended you a song on smart shuffle, and you didn't save it, you could later go back in to that section and find it even if you've left the app/playlist it was suggested in.
Now, on my new phone, it only shows you songs you've played **if they are in a saved playlist, or if you saved them**. This makes no sense - surely many listeners are in the same boat if they want to find a song they heard, recommended by Spotify or that they clicked on without it being through a playlist, that they didnt save...?

Hey @ciararosedavis, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

I am sorry to hear that. You should be able to see up to the last 50 songs you listened to in your Recents category. There’s more information on how to find this here. It may take some time for the content to load to your Recents category. If you’re still facing issues, I’d recommend a clean reinstall of the app following these steps.

Hope this helps!

Yes - only 50, so if you want to find a song prior to those 50 that you
heard and liked, it's gone forever
But this wasn't the case previously, why did spotify change it?

Hey @ciararosedavis,

Thanks for getting back to me! I understand your concern with the limit. Spotify is often testing and launching new features & improvements. With that, it can mean that you might see something on the app that your friend doesn’t, or get a new feature to try temporarily.

Hope this helps!
