My Question or Issue
The so-called "new Your Library design" is driving me insane. I'm referring to this:
First, I'm curious to know why the design was implemented so secretively. The official Spotify support page is still talking about the old design! At the bottom of the page they have the nerve to ask "Was this article helpful?" OF COURSE it wasn't! How am I supposed to learn how to use the new design? By visiting 3rd-party websites such as Android Police?
Second, I can't see my downloaded podcasts anymore. When I press the "Downloaded" bubble, I only get music, no podcasts. In order to access my podcasts, I need to do a Search.
The Search is GOD AWFUL. First, it's super-unintelligent. If I want to reach my Joe Rogan podcasts, typing "Joe" just isn't enough. Zero results. I need to type the whole damn name. Then I get a list of my 10 downloaded episodes--but there's no room for the entire title, so there's 10 identical half-titles. How should I know which one of them is episode 1623? I'm forced to type the number in the Search. How primitive can this possibly be?
Third, sometimes even the list of downloaded music doesn't work. I have 100 albums, only the first 10 appear, the rest are "attempting", but it just hangs. I then try to search for an album. Impossible: the search only comes up with songs, not albums. I then click on a song, and look for the "View Album" option in the menu. The option is GREYED OUT. I want to cry...
It's insane what I get as a paying customer. From perusing the forum, this seems to be a Spotify hallmark. Is there any way to opt for the older library design?
Please don't suggest a fresh re-install, deleting the cache, and so on. All been done.
