'On Repeat' Playlist Update Frequency and Order

Solved!

'On Repeat' Playlist Update Frequency and Order

There's this playlist designed for users called 'On Repeat'. I want to know two things:

  • How often does this playlist update?
  • Are the songs ordered by rank? That is, the first song would be my most listened track in the past 4 weeks?

Hey there @JJSTRK!

Thanks for the questions.

The On Repeat and Repeat Rewind playlists should update every 5 days if you use the app regularly.

The songs are based on your favorites and how many times you've played them but that is not necessarily reflected in the order the songs are in.

If you want to see your most played songs in order for the last month you can click on the arrow next to your (display)name in the app > profile.

When you scroll down you should see a list of songs called ''Top tracks this months'' that should show the songs in ranking.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Oh, I did it but I can't see it, but I still haven't used the app for a full month, so I guess next year I'll start seeing that, right? Right now it's only showing my recently played artists and my playlists with the amount of followers.

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

I've been using spotify very frequently for the past 6 days and both Repeat list still show me songs updated from 10 days ago, so is it something it last longer to update at the beginning of the year of something?

You can maybe give it another day, so at least a week is complete. If after 24 hours it's still showing you the same exact songs you may try to find help with Spotify support.

After the month I noticed that this list only shows up on the desktop, not the android app.

Is the top tracks this month updated every day? Like what I've listened to the most the past 30 days or something?

Hey @JJSTRK,

Thank you for keeping us in the loop.

The On Repeat and playlist should be available in all the devices you have. In the Android app, you can find it taping Search and selecting Made for you. You’ll find the On repeat and Repeat Rewind playlists under the section Uniquely yours.

About the Top playlists, some of them are updated weekly and others daily. You can see this information on the desktop app by hitting Search button and selecting Charts as shown below.

Hope it helps. If anything else comes up, the Community is here for you.

No, I don't mean the charts. I mean MY most listened tracks of the month. I can only see it when I check my profile on desktop, not on Android.

My question is how often does it update, because last time I checked was a few days ago, and I saw some tracks I listened to last week, but this month hasn't ended. So, is it like showing the last 4 weeks, or how is it?

Hi @JJSTRK,

Thank you for your reply and clarification.

In that case, you're correct, the most listened tracks appear on your profile only on the desktop app. About this section, each month it should give you the list of songs you play the most during the month.

This means that if during the last week of the month you play a song more times than any other song you've played during the month, it will take the first place.

But what is the top tracks of this month showing me right now? December, January, or some sort of combination of both? Some of the tracks I started listening to them this month (January), but this month hasn't ended, so how is it showing me that data?

Like when does the list update? I don't get it.

This just doesn’t work. I came here because I had the same problem as the poster-a song that won’t appear in the on repeat list. I have read and read and read your “solution” but when I click on my profile there’s no arrow that you mention.

it shouldn’t be so **bleep** hard for the songs I play most to appear in that list. It’s not rocket science, and other songs do. Spotify shouldn’t have given us an “on repeat” list if it doesn’t work.

Why don’t holiday songs appear in the On Repeat Playlist ??  @ds1texas
