Playlist song re-order not working

On only one of my playlists, it wont let me drag and drop the songs to reorder them. I can still do it on my phone though. How can I fix this?

Hi @frappaj

Thanks for the screenshot!

If you're sure that the playlist was created using the same account you're trying to manually reorganize it from and it's still not possible, I'd recommend performing clean reinstall of your Spotify app. It's different than regular reinstallation.
Just find your device in this article and follow the steps provided there.

Note that you'll have to re-download the content on your desktop.

You could also move all the songs to a new playlist and see if that works.

The easiest way to do that is using your desktop:

  • go to your playlist,
  • select all with keyboard shortcut ctrl+A ,
  • drag them to a new playlist.

Let me know how it goes!

Maybe the playlist is sorted by something and that’s the reason.

Theyre all sorted by custom, unless there is a way to make an individual playlist sorted differently?

Hello @frappaj

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

Please make sure that none of the sorting columns like title, artist, album or date are activated. It's indicated by a green V symbol next to it. If it's on, you won't be able to manually change the song order.

To see them all you might need to hide friend activity

I hope it helps!

Thanks but it didn't work, the filters are not on 😓
