Queue doesn’t refresh on any device or account

Queue doesn’t refresh on any device or account

For months I’ve been experiencing a problem with the playback queue. The queue never changes, no matter what I do. Even if I select a new song, album, playlist, or “Liked songs,” the queue remains the same. 

 

Details:

 

  1. It happens on all types of content: playlists, liked songs, albums, individual songs.It happens on all devices I’ve tried: mobile phone (old and new), desktop app, web player, laptop, and even Alexa.
  2. I already tried all the basics: clearing cache, reinstalling the app, logging out and back in, disconnecting/reconnecting devices.
  3. I even created a new account. It worked for a few days, but then the exact same issue returned.
  4. The queue simply does not update visually or functionally.

Thanks for posting on the Community! Kudos for trying some troubleshooting steps on your own.

 

Just to confirm, does this happen with songs you've manually queued? If so, it's worth clearing the Play Queue (if you haven't already), to see if you notice any difference.

 

Keep in mind that if you use Shuffle, one of the changes we recently made means you can now change the order of your queue by turning Shuffle off and on again. As an example - starting a new song in the playlist that's currently playing means that the same songs will stay queued, but turning Shuffle off/on will create a new play order right away 🙂 Feel free to have look at this thread for more details.
