My Question or Issue

I work out in the garage listing on my Amazon Echo gen2, then I move to the kitchen and listen to my Amazon Echo gen3, then I get into my truck listen on my s24 ultra Android auto.  Everything is on random.  Every time I move it plays the same random playlist from the beginning.  Thats not random, and it's highly frustrating.

I've cleared cash, wiped Spotify and redownloaded everything.  The problem persists.  It still happens rebooting everything and restarting router.

I play a playlist on random, and change the playlist and listen.  I go back to the original playlist, put it on random and still the same random playlist.

I could be listening on random, change the song, then immediately goes back to the same random playlist.

This is been happening for years, on multiple devices.

Hey! Welcome to Community Spotify 🙂

Thanks for getting in touch. It's understandable that you want to make the most of your favorite music.

Do the following:

1. Go to Liked Songs > Sort by TITLE.
2. Then activate Shuffle.

Let me know how it works.

Thank you for the help.  And yes, it gave me a new playlist when I sorted by title.

I was working out listening to my echo gen3 and then I started my truck.  My phone auto connected to my truck and restarted that playlist.

I do deserve my music and further more I pay for the service.

Winamp in 1997 was fully capable of giving random music and was free.

Next time it happens, I'll change the sort function to something different and press random.  We'll see.

This is getting ridiculous.  The more it happens the more irritating it gets.  Random should be random between all devices.  The random playlist should transfer seamlessly between all devices.  Whether they auto connect or you change the device in your device output list.

The saga continues...
