Issue or improvement potential

I personally use the official spotify liked songs playlist as a playlist where I can see when I started listening to stuff. Maybe not necessary but the reason why I noticed it.

When I make a selection of songs, typically select all (CTRL + A), and add them to the official spotify liked songs playlist via context menu, it adds all of them, which is correct. But in the case where some of the selected songs are already in the liked songs playlist. It overrides the date of them or removes and re-adds them again. Either way, the date is changed.

Can I get a feedback wether this is a bug or if this behaviour is as designed?

Hey there @Xeonigs,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

This is expected behavior, but we understand that you're not satisfied with this feature. Thanks for taking the time to let us know, we appreciate it. We always aim to improve, so we’ll get this passed on to the right team.

Additionally, you can have a look at our Idea Exchange to see if someone else has already made a similar suggestion. If there isn't one, you can give these steps a go and submit your idea so that other users can also support it. The higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.

Also, you can read more about how your feedback reaches Spotify here.

Hope this clears things up. If you need a hand with anything else, we're always a post away!
