My Question or Issue

For the last ~month, about 4 songs have just randomly deleted themselves from my primary playlist. I keep track of all my songs so I was able to rectify the issue temporarily, but this is getting beyond just a one-off. Is there any known fix/is this a known bug? The songs themselves are not greyed out, just straight up removed, and are not local files.

Hey @jaido4,

Thanks for posting this thread in the forum.

There can be different reasons for songs not to be showing in a playlist, but they shouldn't just disappear on their own so let's investigate together.

It would be very helpful if you could share as many details as possible:

  • Did you notice if these songs started disappearing after something specific such as an update for example?
  • Does this happen across devices or on a particular one?
  • Is this happening with Liked Songs, a playlist created by you or with a collaborative playlist?

You mentioned that you were able to rectify the issue temporarily, but does that mean that you're able to find and re-add the songs?

To be on the safe side that it's only you using your account, I recommend logging out everywhere from the Account Page and even securing the account with the steps mentioned in this article. It's also a good idea to remove access to any third-party apps which you may have linked your account to and the steps are also in the help article.

We'll be on the lookout for your response.
