My Question or Issue

About a month ago, I noticed that my local music files on my desktop were no longer being recognized in Spotify's "Local Files" folder.  Here are the actions I've taken so far that have NOT solved the problem:  1.  Uninstalling then reinstalling Spotify  2.  Restarting computer  3.  Toggling the "Show Local Files" button off then on in Settings

In fact, I just lost HALF of my songs a few minutes ago in the "Local Files" folder when I toggled the "My Music" button off then on in Spotify's settings.  Now, half of my songs in created playlists from local files are grayed out.  I'm trying to create playlists of audio files of online classwork recordings to listen to when I'm in the car, but now it's no longer possible.

This is super frustrating.  I've found no help online.  What is the fix for this?

Okay, I think I just fixed the issue:  for anyone else who is having this problem, go to Spotify's Settings, and then in the "Show Songs From" section, click the button labeled "Add a Source".  Then, what I did was manually navigate to my folder labeled "iTunes Music", then I clicked the blue "Open" button.  This is NOT intuitive, because "iTunes" is already listed as one of the sources in the "Show Songs From" section.  Now I've got a path to that iTunes folder on my desktop iMac, along with the original "iTunes" source.  It seems like a weird redundancy without rhyme or reason, but that's what worked for me.  If anyone else runs into the same issue, I hope this will help you.
