Spotify removing and re-adding albums to service screws up my "likes"

Spotify will frequently remove a version of an album on their service, and re-add a nearly identical version with all my "likes" wiped from it.

when I view the artist's discography, the "new" copy of the album shows up and all the "like" hearts are now empty, but when I go to my Liked Songs and sort by artist, I find all the tracks from the "old" copy of the album still there.

if I "like" the new copy on the artist's discography, now I have two identical copies of the same track from the same album cluttering up my library.

how hard is it to program a dang if statement or something to avoid duplicates, or to at least migrate my "likes" from the old copy over to the new one.  constantly re-liking new copies of albums and cleaning out the old ones from my library is a massive PITA.  fix this.

Hey there @Mannex

Thanks for reaching out - we’re here to help!

Spotify works hard to constantly add music to its content database. We want all the world’s music and podcasts on Spotify, but availability can vary over time and between countries, depending on agreements between Spotify and rights holders, such as artists or record labels.

We add new content to Spotify every day, so if you can’t find something you’re looking for right now, it may appear (or reappear) soon. Alternatively, you can always contact the artist or record label with your query as well.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.
