I used to be able to view all of my songs in my playlist by clicking on the group of songs under add songs. Why can’t I do that anymore? Does it have to do with the amount of songs I have on my playlist?

Hey @Tinkcrow,
Thanks for the screenshot.
On the free plan, you can't view and play separate songs on demand. You can only play your playlists on shuffle mode.
You can learn more about the different features of each subscription type here.
Hope this info clears things up. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
I just want to clarify something with you. There isn’t any way to view your songs on your playlist, right?
Hey @Tinkcrow,
Thank you for keeping in contact.
The silent periods or quiet intros are part of the track. This means that the artist uploaded the song including those 1:30 minutes of silence already. This could be intended within the track or a mistake made at the moment of uploading the content.
However, if you think it could be a mistake and you want to report this content, you can reach out to our Customer Support so they can escalate the case with the proper department.
Hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask.
I can’t seem to view the songs that I added onto my playlist. I’m on the free plan and I live in the US. Can you not view all your songs if you are on the free plan?

Thank you, Alex. This information is very helpful.

Hey @Tinkcrow,
Thanks for getting back to us.
That's correct. In case the account is running on free service, there is no option to preview a list of all the tracks contained within an album or a playlist that's not "Pick and Play. You can check this article for more information.

This doesn’t have anything to do with viewing songs in my playlist. I can’t seem to listen to a song that I added to my playlist. Once it shuffles to it, it’s just silence. The song is called Blood-Hidden Track by My Chemical Romance. I can preview the song and listen to it but I can’t listen to the full song on my playlist. It plays the song but there is no sound. Is there something wrong with the song?
Hi there @Tinkcrow,
Thank you for your reply. We'd like to take a closer look into this.
Can you provide us the URI of the song?
We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
Take care 🙂
Hi @Tinkcrow,
Thanks for providing the link to the song.
I was able to play it on my end, but I have to note that the first 1:30 sec are complete silence. If you're previewing the track, it's possible that the preview plays the silence part. Could you share with us a short screen recording which shows how things look on your end so we can get a clear understanding of what's happening?
Keep us posted.
Cheers!
Sorry, I was very busy and I kind of forgot about this issue. I had no idea that there was 1:30 seconds of silence on the track. I previewed the song, but it didn’t include the silenced part. Thank you for informing me that there was a part of the track that was silenced. I have one more quick question. What is the point of the silence in this track? I’m not very knowledgeable in music so I’m asking this out of curiosity.

That's such a lousy way to treat their free users. Not being able to even see their own songs is insane. And shuffle is the most annoying feature of this app. I think I'm done with Spotify as a my main music & podcast app. I went from frustrated Premium customer to very frustrated free customers. There's no real benefit to staying with it any longer. Too bad. They really wrecked the original experience. Money grab is more important than loyalty to users. Anyone have a recommendation for an alternative? I also use Soundcloud and don't mind giving them my money because it's a better experience.
