copied a playlist and recently added wont work

Hey! Me and my family recently got the family plan here on spotify, we shared an account in the past, so all the playlists was on that one account, I had to make a new account for the family plan. I needed to move my playlists to that new account. So I went on my mac and copied all the playlists that i wanted and put them on a new playlist for my new account, with the "command + A" command. Everything seemed fine at the beginning, but when I changed the sorting to "Newly added" it all got messed up. It wont show in order like it did on the old account. I copied the playlist when it was sorted as "newly added". Is there any way i can fix this?? I have 400+ song in many of the playlists, and it would rly be so much work to add 1 at a time...

Hey there @MiriMar,

Thanks for the post.

Unfortunately, the app will count all the playlists as added on the same date, and the songs within the playlist will also be counted as added on the same date if you've copied them over. You can keep the original sorting in "Custom Order", as the songs should be pasted in the same order they've been copied from the original playlist.

Note that if you send a link to the playlists in question from your old account to the new one - and simply "Like" the playlist to follow it, songs should still be in their original order and you can sort the playlist by Date Added.

Hi Alex! thx for the reply, i do have the playlist set to "custom oder", but when i add a new song it ends up at the bottom of the playlist. I would like to be able to add new songs to the playlists.

Hey @MiriMar,

Currently you can drag and drop any song to the top of the playlist, but I believe this Live Idea we have here may be of interest to you 🙂
If it is, you may leave a Like and subscribe to the Idea thread to stay on top of any new updates.

Tip: Sorting by date added as shown below should also help you out with keeping your newly added songs in the beginning of the playlist!
As you know, however, this will not change the sorting for the songs you've copied to the playlist at the same time, but it will work if you re-add those songs one by one.
