"Add to playlist" - broken list for playlists the song is already in

"Add to playlist" button shows all my playlists with somehow random order (I guess it's puting first those I have added few songs recently to). Very frustrating to look for playlist that I actually want to add because once it's on very top, other time somewhere in the bottom. Can we have alphabetical orderd or smth like that in "add to playlist" window?

I would like to say as of an update to Spotify that was installed on my iPhone 15 on 3/6/2025, it seems that this feature is now back and working for me. 🤩

On the desktop version of Spotify when organizing songs- when I click the "add to playlist" button, it shows a "Saved in" section of all the playlists the song is already in that I have made. Then it shows all of my folders/playlists under "most relevant". But on mobile this feature does not exist. It just shows my all of my folders in alphabetical order. BUT- a few times I have been moving songs around this feature was there on mobile? Is this a bug? A test of a new feature? I really enjoy this feature since it shows me what playlists the song is already in so I don't have to go check each folder or, search each playlist to make sure the song is in all the playlists I want it to be in.

This is absolute BS. It’s such an amazing feature and I’m genuinely furious that it just got taken away from me. Why would you remove this? Do you not see all the positive feedback it’s getting? Jesus Christ I’m so pssed

I am on the premium plan in the US, using the iOS 15.6 version of the app. I recently had the “Saved in” feature that would show the playlists a song was in at the top. I have a lot of songs and playlists and this feature was absolutely life-changing for my app experience. It has now disappeared, and I’ve updated my app and it’s still gone. Was this just a test feature? Is it gone for good? I’m angry and upset I loved this feature so much. Please don’t get rid of the feature I really really want it back.

My Question or Issue

On the iOS app, I used to be able to click on a song, then click “add to playlist”, and it would show all of my playlists that the song already existed in. There was also a “clear all” button at the top if I wanted to remove the song from all playlists without having to go through each one manually. Today, I tried going through these steps, and the feature was gone. It no longer showed at the top which playlists a song was already in, and the “clear all” button was gone. I tried clearing my cache, redownloading and updating the app, and even updated my iOS but nothing changed, it was still gone. I love curating playlists and this feature was such a game changer! If there’s any other way to get it back, I’d love to know how.

My Question or Issue

I have had what I thought was a newly added feature/update on my Spotify app which mirrored the "Saved In" functionality on desktop, showing all the playlists I had a specific song in, for a few weeks now. But today when it suddenly disappeared I realised it must have been one of those experimental features released for testing to only some users, because it got replaced by a new design for the add sort and edit of a playlist (which is also a great change). But I need the "Saved In" feature back on IOS! I literally cannot live without it, it is the best feature ever invented because I have 600 playlists. Please help me! How do I get it back?

It seems like this feature was made first available sometime last year, and then was taken away for a few months. It then appeared again very recently (much to my liking) but as of today it appears to be gone again. 

This was an extremely helpful feature for folks who have a lot of playlists like myself. I find it really helpful to get a quick snapshot of what playlists a song you are listening to is in. It helps reduce clutter significantly. Eg if you decide that you want to remove a song from all of the playlists that you have it in, this turns a cumbersome task into an easy one. 

Please bring this feature back 😢

Basically on iPhone, it used to be that whenever you would want to add a song to a playlist with the checkmark you can click let’s say like playlist first playlist second playlist third playlist fourth and so let’s say once you saved all of them the next time you click that checkmark on that song All four of those playlist would be at the top and the playlist that the song is not in then it will be below the ones that the song is on. They have this feature on PC but not on iPhone
