"Add to playlist" button shows all my playlists with somehow random order (I guess it's puting first those I have added few songs recently to). Very frustrating to look for playlist that I actually want to add because once it's on very top, other time somewhere in the bottom. Can we have alphabetical orderd or smth like that in "add to playlist" window?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Interesting - I'm on Android, version 8.9.92.408, and as I said a bit earlier, I still see the list. I'm sorry to hear that, and hopefully it comes back soon!
Please bring this back!!! I feel the same as with the other people in this discussion. This feature allowed me to manage my playlists so much easier
I really need this feature back. It was the only way to sort and organize playlists efficiently within a reasonable amount of time!
@Shidairyu I wholeheartedly agree!
Completely agree. This feature was a game changer for playlist management when it was released, so I was devastated to realise today that it’s not currently functioning on iOS.
This was one of the best parts of the change from hearts to check marks. Please bring it back!
I agree. One of the reasons I started making more playlists on my phone instead of Desktop was because of this feature. It's annoying that they removed one of their actually useful features that I liked from the last update.
Came all the way here to say this very thing!!! wth iOS???
WTH THEY REMOVED THIS? I'M NEVER UPDATING THIS APP AGAIN. Seriously, the multi playlist add was the *only* good update they made in the 11 years I've used Spotify and now they remove half of its usefulness shortly after?
So what does it look like now after the update? o_o
@melarish It just shows your playlists/folders in the order that you have them sorted.
i have no idea why they'd remove this. it was so helpful
For a while, when you went to add a song to a playlist it showed all the playlists that the song was already in at the top of the list. Then a couple weeks ago it disappeared. It was simple but super useful and I hope spotify brings it back
Please Please Please, bring this back
YOOOO I THINK WE WON??? I THINK THEY BROUGHT IT BACK
200% agree. Such a small but incredibly helpful feature that was removed. It makes organizing my music 10x easier/faster on my iPhone. I spent the past 2 days troubleshooting with Spotify support thinking it was a bug, only to realize it was done on purpose.
Just so everyone knows, you can still see which playlists already contain your songs in the desktop app and the web browser. Although if you have your playlists in folders, in the web browser it shows your folders first instead of your actual playlists. The desktop app shows the actual playlists first…as it should be!
Please bring this feature back to the iPhone app!!!!
Hey folks,
This should now be resolved!
Make sure you're running the latest update (8.9.94.418) and see if the issue is fixed for you 🙂
If the version is still not available for you, be on the lookout. It should get released for everyone soon.
Note: In case you have this version but the issue persists, see if removing the cached data would make a difference.
Many thanks!
Hello, the problem is still there for me even after removing cached data. I think I have the latest version (that was released 7h ago) but the version says 9.0.0.537 for me. What can I do?
Thanks for confirming @SeaCoffeeData!
In order to aid us in the investigation, could you share a short screen recording which captures the described behavior in action? That way, we can get a direct look of what's happening on your end.
It's also worth mentioning that the sort order can be changed from the highlighted menu in the screenshot below:
Cheers 🤘
