why can't i find songs with library search?

When I type more than two letters in library search, there are zero results, even with songs I know are in there. If I search for the song on spotify, I see it is still liked and in a playlist. No filters are active. It's the same on my PC and Android.

It's not possible to search individual songs in Your Library at the moment, I'm afraid. You'll have to manually open a playlist and look in there.

The only thing is I remember being able to do this in the past. So not sure why it was removed, and I see now that a lot of people are asking this.

agree, this used to work. What is the point of having a library search if it can only search playlist names

Spotify is about playing songs. Finding songs you want to play in your library is a common sense feature. To enable this feature only for searching your  playlists and stating it is by design makes absolutely no sense. Your explanation suggests the Spotify developers are not willing to admit that they failed to apply standard database search indexing to enable the feature. When will the ability to search for songs in your library be implemented?

I have seen posts stating the feature was removed in 2019. Given it is 2024, one could conclude that the Spotify developers are not able to implement the feature to search for songs in your library. Or, worse yet, do not recognize or understand the basic needs of paying customers.

“A Cool Feature”? Really? Look, I don’t want to be rude. But that’s like saying it would be a Cool Feature to have city names and highway numbers on a road map. Ya think?
