A few questions about Spotify on my IPhone

A few questions about Spotify on my IPhone

Hi people, I just installed Spotify on my Iphone. Some things are unclear to me:

1. Where can I find the 'help' button?

2. When I want to listen to music I can only shuffle the tracks, why is that? And what if I want to listen to the tracks like they are on the album?

3. The music/albums I downloaded and that are in my library, can I transfer them somehow to my desktop? Or will thay always be owned by Spotify?

4. If I want to have Spotify on my desktop, do I have to download the programma also? The button did not work here, that is why I ask.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey @pauladear! Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Great questions, let's run them down, step-by-step! 🙂

1. You're in the right place for help! The Spotify Community is the quickest way to get help with most Spotify-related issues! 🙂 Also, check out support.spotify.com for some great help articles!

2. Here's how to turn off Shuffle:suffle_twitter.png Keep in mind that's for Spotify Premium users only!

3. You can't download music as MP3 but you can download Spotify for Desktop (see #4) and still take your music offline with that.

4. You can download Spotify on your desktop here: spotify.com/download. Just log in to the same account and all you're music will be synchronized on all your devices. No worries about that! 🙂

If anything's still unclear, just let me know and I'll do my best to explain! 🙂

Enjoy listening!

Hi Huib, thank you for your help. All the features are a bit overwhelming.

1) So I understand there is no 'help'section on my Iphone, only on my desktop?

2) Oh, there is the real shuffle button. Then why is there a huge green 'Shuffle' button througout the whole app? What does that mean?

3) I think what you mean is that you sort of borrow the music (like books from a library) and that you can listen to it as long as you are a member, is that correct?

4) I managed that, thank you.

Thank you in advance Huib, kind regards, Paula

Hey @pauladear!

No worries! - You can open the support site on your iPhone if you'd like. Just open Safari and head to support.spotify.com. You can give your vote here to remove/reduce the shuffle button on your iPhone. Yeah, it's kind of like borrowing music, you can enjoy your offline music as long as you're Spotify Premium member. (You can still listen to music with Spotify Free though.)

Hope this clears things up!

Enjoy listening! 🙂

Hello 🙂

Spotify free has some limitations, and one of them is that You only can play tracks in Shuffle Play mode. If You get Premium, You can play the music in any order, the sound quality gets way better, and You avoid all the ads! Spotify on computers is free. Go to www. spotify.com and download the program to Your computer, and Your music will be on both devices. If You add songs or create playlists on the modile, they will also be the same on any other device You use Spotify on. Enjoy the music. Best regards TorilSusegg
