Activity feed not working and missing profiles page

Currently using ios 8.4 iphone 6 plus. Spotify App version 4.1.0.941

On the spotify app the activity feed does not update at all with the profiles that I am following. On the Mac app it does but with, what seems, a 5-10 minute delay on showing my friend's currently playing songs. Not sure why this is happening and would love a fix.

Also, is there a profiles page/section I am missing on the app? Because currently I have to search for a friend, then click on the search result in order to see their profiles and their shared playlists (where it only shows a fraction of what they actually have). Very frustrating.
