Advanced search options don't work on iPad 4, IOS7

Advanced search options don't work on iPad 4, IOS7

Hi, I'm a spotify premium user and have on several occasions tried to use the advanced search syntax. But it never works. As an example searching fair genre:jazz NOT artist:Armstrong returns three tracks by Louis Armstrong (see attached screen shot). Grateful if someone would point out where I am going wrong.

Use "-" instead.

genre:Jazz -armstrong

Should give you the results you are looking for 😉

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your interest.
The search term "genre:jazz NOT artist:Armstrong" when enter on my iPhone 4S (IOS7) gives the correct result (i.e. All jazz tracks, albums, artists etc. but excluding Louis Armstrong), however the same term on my iPad gives the search result previously posted. Your suggestion ("genre:jazz -Armstrong") on my iPad gives a limited version of the iphone result ( for example only five artists show up whereas on the iphone many dozens appear). Perhaps the app on my ipad is not working properly and I should try reinstalling it?
Regards,
Bob

No I've tried deleting and reinstalling Spotify on my ipad and the advanced searches still don't work.. Grateful for any other suggestions.

Bob

Unfortunately I have a feeling this might be the same known issue which was reported here:

Thanks Peter, that explains part of the problem, but why does for example "genre:jazz noT artist :Armstrong" on an iPhone equal "genre:jazz -Armstrong" on the iPad. Presumably the - means subtract, but why doesn't the NOT statement work on the iPad?
