My Question or Issue
Quite a few years ago, I used to use the ‘Do not play this song again’ button to skip a song, not understanding what it did. Now, when I want to go back to those songs, it won’t let me play them. Even tapping the three dots next to the song and tapping ‘Allow to play this song’ doesn’t work. It closes the menu, but nothing happens, not even after closing Spotify or restarting my iPad. Does anybody know how to fix this?
i clicked “like” on the song. now it lets you play the song (you can unlike it now, it’ll still work)!
Hello! I have the iOS 16 update and an iPhone 11. A very similar problem has happened to me. Only it says “Allow to play this song.” I have switched off “hide unplayable songs” and reinstalled the app. But when I go to click it again, nothing happens.
If you are able to help me it would be much appreciated! Thank you.
Hi @LILY44!
A lot of users reported that adding the track to their Liked Songs did the trick. Could you try that as well?
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!
It worked. Thank you for your help Yordan.
just like the song and it allows it
I encountered this same problem and eventually found a solution! If you click the 3 dots next to the song and then click “Like” on the song, it will remove the “Do not play this song again” feature.
Or maybe fix your **bleep**ing app. Im readingthis now and trying to fix this and its been almost 2,5 years since you noticed this problem.... Seriously wth are ypu guys at spotify doing? Your app is broken in so many ways and younever fix anything
Yeah wow thanks now i can see the unplayable songs again! Very helpful🤯
What I did in this issue is to "Like" the song and "Unlike" then it got removed from "Hide this Song". Made this steps on my smart phone. Hope this helps.
