Best way to have offline playlists in car? IPOD TOUCH

Best way to have offline playlists in car? IPOD TOUCH

It's just a matter of time before I wreck my car while screwing around with Spotify on my mobile phone...

It would be so much easier if I could have a IPOD touch that just stays in my car in offline mode and I can listed via bluetooth or USB? with little to no hassle.    Is this possible?

If so which model / generation do I want ?  (since this would just be used for storage I'm thinking i should get  a used one from craigslist /ebay )

Any advice would be appreciated.  I'm love love love the Spotify product but getting annoyed by the hardware and synching issue.

Would someone please point me in the right direction? (I'm trying to decide whether to keep the subscription or not.)

In order to use the current Spotify app, you'd need an iPod Touch that can run iOS 5 or 6 - So generation 4 or 5.

We do have a version specially for iOS 4 devices too, if you can only find a second / third generation iPod Touch.

It's pretty straightforward...If you have a Premium account, that is.

Make your required Playlists available for Offline playback when connected on the wifi at home/work, then they'll be available for you in the car or wherever. The only thing you have to keep an eye on is that you re-sync over the wifi within 30 days or they won't be playable. I do this all the time and have no problem with it.
