Hi, to make this really short, ever since my Iphone updated to 9.3.1 the sound in Spotify has been terrible when run through Bluetooth and I can't seem to fix it.
I've tried it on two separate headsets, a speaker and in my car with the same terrible static and disturbances as a result.
So far I've tried fiddling with some settings, resetting the connections but with no results at all.
(Note that all other audio through Bluetooth units is normal, it is only Spotify.)
Kinda sick of my music sounding like I'm offroading in the woods with a record player, so if anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.
like already said, it's just spotify...
i tried apple music and youtube streaming and that works perfectly...

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?
The email that @h0rse received. 🙂
This was his post a while back:
"Hey again.
I contacted Spotify support directly for the issue, but got no help at all since they "Do not support Bluetooth devices" so I'll just have to assume that it's some form of IOS compatibilty issue.
I still have no idea whatsoever what one could do to rectify it"
Hope that helps!

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?
Hmm, I'm guessing it has to do with actual connections between Spotify software and hardware in bluetooth speakers. I'm probably wrong, but it was worth a shot.
I've passed this on to the Spotify developers.
Sorry to hear your dissapointment with Spotify.
Is there anything else I can do to help?

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?
well that is no satisfiying answer for me, i usually have no problems with Spotify...but just saying we don't support bluetooth when a bug is found that is no customer service. i will wait a week or so, if not resolved i will switch to Apple music, because i've tested Apple music and that works like a charm!
So please Spotify fix the bug, because the problem only occurs with Spotify, or you will lose paying customers, including me!
@smrabet I know this must be a very frustrating situation for you, but all we can do is wait it out.
It could even be an iOS compatibility bug with Spotify. We can't know for sure.
Again, I'm very sorry about all this.
Happy Spotifying!

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?
Hey @h0rse @hcanning @smrabet @mapuya19
Yes, the help article on the Spotify support site says Bluetooth is not supported, but that is talking about directly supported hardware. Spotify is software. Bluetooth is hardware and has to be supported by the device you are using Spotify on.
Most mobile devices and laptops have support to stream the playing audio to Bluetooth. Spotify sends its audio to the device it's playing on and the device sends the audio through Bluetooth. Playing Spotify over Bluetooth on iOS has not been disabled by Spotify themselves. It should work like it usually does. It should work just like any other audio app.
To me it sounds like the problem is a bug in iOS 9.3.1 or a bug in the Spotify iOS app
well if you ask me, it has something to do with the spotify ios app, because other music apps stream perfectly via bluetooth. as i mentioned, for example youtube and apple music work without any problems.
so i hope they fix this soon, because this is very annoying

Hey!
We're afraid Spotify doesn't oficially support Bluetooth at the moment, but we'll make sure to pass your feedback along.
Can you let us know the make and model of your car? Also, if you use am aux cable, does the same happen?
Keep us posted.
