Bluetooth connection issues

When i connect my iPhone 8 Plus which is fully updated to my vehicle via Bluetooth the Spotify app will close and only show the Spotify symbol with a black screen around it and i can no longer select a song i can only skip songs. I do have premium but can never pick a song i want to play. Is there any way to fix this thanks.

Your radio may have a Spotify setting like mine. If I put my radio on “Spotify” mine will do the same thing and make me choose songs on my radio and not use my phone. Instead, I put my radio to “Bluetooth Audio” instead of “Spotify” and it doesn’t do that. Of course, it varies with different radios. Hope this works
