Bug: "An error occurred" if blocking trackers

Version: 6.8.0.3786

If I DNS-block the trackers the Spotify app uses (*.scorecardresearch.com and app.adjust.com), it says "An error occurred". It seams that after a failed request to the tracker URLs, the app doesn't request the spotify API (spclient.wg.spotify.com) anymore.

This happens if I tap "Home", "Browse" or search something. If I go to "Settings" -> "Notifications" the app properly requests 'https://www.spotify.com/us/xhr/json/mobile-notifications.php'.

Is this intended behaviour (ie. if tracking doesn't work, the App neither won't) or a bug (ie. if the first request fails, the app stops requesting)?
