Cannot add songs to playlist if I don't have internet connection

I've noticed that if I'm on the underground and I was to add a song I like to my Starred playlist, I am unable to do so until I get 3G! This is ridiculous! Is there a workaround?

I don't think there is a workaround, because when you add a song to a playlist it automatically tells it to sync to the device
