My Question or Issue
If I am listening to any song on a PC, I cannot start listening on my phone, I have to do it from the computer itself. This is annoying if I leave music running and want to keep listening on my phone but I can't because I am away from my desk. I can move to my phone from any computer, just not the phone itself.
Tapping on "AirPlay/Bluetooth" does not allow me to select my phone unless I have airpods connected.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Weirdly, the issue has seemed to resolve itself yesterday out of nowhere.
For what it is worth, I had reinstalled previously and no I wasn't able to have this happen on another device.
I'm pretty sure there should be a "This device" button, like on your computer. What options are under the context menu on your phone (the three dots)?
I'm not sure what preferences the Spotify mobile app has, but there may be one for the Connect feature.
Context menu is only to forget device, which didn't help.
Hey @Oakn,
Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.
In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sharing with us the exact Spotify version you are running in your mobile device?
On another note, just to confirm, can you replicate this behavior on another mobile device? It’d be awesome if you could check. You can ask for the mobile device of a relative or a friend to open your account and check.
Lastly, we'd suggest (if you haven't yet) to reinstall the app on your mobile device to check if you notice any difference, You can follow the steps in this article to do it.
Keep us in the loop!
