Cannot play music now without data or wifi on?

I use to be able to play my music without having my data on in the car and without having to download the music.

Now I am not able to do that unless my data is on or connected to Wi-Fi

Could you try a clean reinstall of the app? If that doesn't help, can you let me know what the iOS version on your iPhone XS? You can find this by going to Settings > General > About.

Will all my music vanish? I never had to download my music before. I played straight off my “liked songs” without any issues.

Sorry yes I have uninstalled the app and down loaded it. I’ve logged out and back in. I’ve also restarted my phone. I’m running iOS 13.5.1

Even if I download the music I still cannot play it without the data or wifi having to be on in my car. Time to look for another music provider that doesn’t require data or wifi to be used. How annoying.

You can either listen online (without downloading the tracks) or download tracks for offline listening. 

I'd recommend checking out this support article to learn more about listening without being connected to the internet.
