Car display's "no song" using Spotify

Spotify worked in my car's stereo system for a while but now my car displays "no song". I was using 2 devices on my premium spotify account but recently learned that only one device can be used through a car's audio system. I removed one of the devices on the account and tried using Spotify in the car again but it still does not work.
