Connect Spotify to TV in RV with WiFi but no internet?

Connect Spotify to TV in RV with WiFi but no internet?

I have an RV (actually a horse trailer with living quarters) and would love to be able to use Spotify in the trailer.   There are two Roku tvs in the trailer and the main tv plays through the stereo so my goal is to get Spotify to the tv as simply as possible.

There is a WiFi network in the trailer that is always active but we probably only have internet about 50% of the time.   My first thought was to buy a fire stick and use an iPad or other tablet with Spotify connect to play downloaded music but from what I read you can only do this when an internet connection is available?

Ultimatly I guess I could find a way to wire a tablet to the tv but would much prefer a wireless solution to play downloaded Spotify music to a tv with WiFi but no internet.  Any suggestions?

My suggestion, if you want to go the wireless route is by getting a bluetooth transciever/transmitter. All you gotta do is hook up the transiever to your TV and then connect your device via bluetooth and play music that way. If you wanted to go the wired route then i would recommend an AUX and have a device plugged into that.

What i would if i had either AUX or Bluetooth is have a dedicated device, for example an iPad, connected to Spotify Only and use another device, like an iPhone, to select the songs you want to listen too on your downloads. That way if you were in a different part of the RV or outside you could just whip out the iPhone and select the song without having to go to the iPad and select it from there.

I like the idea of a dedicated device but my understanding is that in order for Spotify connect to work there must be an internet connection available.  Is that correct?  If so everything would have to be done on the dedicated device when no internet is available.

Yes you are correct that you do need Internet to do that option.
