Desktop doesn't recognize iOS 6 BETA devices

Solved!

Desktop doesn't recognize iOS 6 BETA devices

Apple just released iOS 6 BETA 1 today.

The app works normally on my iPhone and iPad with iOS 6 BETA installed, but for some reason the desktop app is not recognizing any iPad with iOS 6 BETA.

Under devices in the Spotify desktop app, my iPad is not showing up.

My iPhone is running the new iOS 6 BETA, but it DOES show under devices.

I have tried restarting my devices and my router. I even restarted my computer and Spotify, but my iPad still doesn't show up.

It looks like the desktop app will not recognize any iPad running iOS 6.

Spotify has confirmed that the iOS app isn't fully compatible with iOS 6. Radio is one of the features currently not working as well as offline file sync with the iPad.

iOS 6 is currently in beta testing, so there will be problems.

Spotify hopes to fully support iOS 6 soon.

I imagine our iOS people would have only got the beta yesterday too - I imagine it will show up in future updates.

Alright, it looks like this is only affecting the the iPad when it is running iOS 6 BETA.

The iPhone running iOS 6 BETA still shows up under devices.

It's not a big deal since at least my iPhone works.

Also (side note) -- the devices splash page on the desktop should be updated. It only talks about iPhone, iPod, and android devices. Where is the love for tablet devices? I know it supports tablets, but the splash never got updated.

The radio function still doesn't work on my iOS 6 iPhone or iPad.

Radio will work in iOS 6 in future versions of the Spotify. Since iOS 6 is still in beta, it's not fully supported.

Hello i have a iPhone 4S with iOS 6 Beta 2. My Desktop doesn't shows my iphone for offline sync. how can i make it work?

I'm not sure. You could try restarting your phone or by turning off the WIFI on your phone and turning it back on.

iOS 6 isn't officially supported yet though. There will be bugs.
