Does spotify work on iPod Touch?

I have been looking into getting an iPod touch 6th or 7th gen for music, is spotify compatible and what generations better?

Thanks for coming to the Community.

The current minimum system requirement for Spotify is iOS 14 or above. Since the 6th gen iPod Touch only supports up to iOS 12.5.7, it’s no longer compatible, unfortunately.

However, the 7th gen iPod Touch, which supports iOS 15.8.3, is still supported as of October 5, 2024.
