Downloaded albums not available when offline, downloaded playlists are available

When I use the IOS client on an iPhone 6 Plus, often but not always my offline-saved albums are not available when I am offline. Offline-saved Playlists are available.

If I launch the Spotify client when I have wifi or data connectivity, and then go offline (i.e go into the subway), then everything offline is available.

If I go offline (i.e. go into the subway) and then launch the Spotify client, this error often (but not always) occurs -- offline-saved albums are not available. When attempting to open offline-saved albums the client simply displays the message that I am offline and hangs.
