Downloaded music keeps deleting itself

Solved!

Downloaded music keeps deleting itself

On iPhone 5s with IOS 11.2

For the past few days after getting Spotify Family the app on my phone will sign myself out and then display the songs as unavailable offline (i download my music as I don't have the data to stream) The songs still take up space on the SD but will not play themselves. I have to then wait until I get to a wifi-spot to redownload all my music. I really enjoy Spotify but this is detremental to my use of this App as I can only play the downloaded music and not stream any at all.

Any fixes ASAP is very much appreciated.

This isn't a solution for the data going missing but I just want to point out a trick for re-downloading ALL your music with basically zero effort.  If you go to "Your Library" > "Playlists" > "Liked Songs" and then slide the download toggle over, it will download everything (Albums, Playlists, etc.) that you've saved to your library.

This method does make the assumption that you want to download everything that you've "liked".  Personally, I got sick of clicking thru a million albums/playlists every time I got a new phone or did a system reboot, so I decided that I would only like songs that I wanted to download and it works great for me.  Obviously you're phone will still need to download all the music again which can take a while depending on your wifi but at least you can't let it do this on it's own and you don't have to spend so much time staring at your screen.

Note: It's a little confusing that after the download is done, if you navigate to an album in your library, the download toggle is slide left, indicating that you haven't downloaded that album, but if you look at the actual songs, you'll see the little green down arrow showing that all the songs in this album are, in fact, downloaded
