Hi Eni,
Sorry to jump on this thread - i could not find how to start a new one?
For the last week when i download podcasts to my apple watch, when i go to the 'downloaded' tab, it says for eg i have 4 downloaded episodes. But the individual episodes are not listed anymore? I have been using this features for years, but all of a sudden the actual individual episodes are not listed. The only way i can find them to play them (remotely while out for a run), is via the actual 'Library' and scrolling through it to find the individual downloaded episodes. I have included 5 images. the first two are the downloaded section where you can see it wont display actual episodes. The last 3 are images from the library where i have to go through the library and the 71 episodes from the podcast to find the 4 i have downloaded!
Both my iphone -iOS 17.5.1 and apple watchOS 10.5 are fully up to date. I have also reviewed other threads and done a complete uninstall of Spotify on my phone and the watch and re installed on both.
No changes - i still can no longer view individual episodes within the downloaded feature?
Images 1 is the downloaded section with no episodes displayed - just 'remove' option and images 2 and 3, are just from my library which is the only way i can access the downloaded episodes now?
Thanks.
Appreciate the cooperation and thanks for sharing this info @JenC1.
Happy to hear that you were able to download the podcast episodes and they're now showing for you 🙂
We'll make sure to let the right team know about this behavior so they can look into it.
Should you need help with anything else or if the issue resurfaces, don't hesitate to give us a shout.
Thanks again and wishing you a great day!
Hey there @JenC1,
Thanks for reaching out on the Community! Hope you don't mind us moving your post, as this will help us get a better view of your questions.
Just to confirm, does the downloaded episodes appear if you select additional filters? For example, you can choose both Podcasts and Downloads. The filter(s) will turn green after it has been selected.
Also, after switching the Podcast filter on and you've opened a podcast, are you able to scroll down using the button on the side of the watch? All episodes that you've downloaded from that specific podcast should appear under the Remove X downloads bar.
If that doesn't do the trick, or if any other questions appear, it would be great if you could send us a video showing how things look from your end. For example, how does it look when you toggle on the Downloads filter > select a podcast > scroll down?
Let us know how it goes!
Hi Maria, no still wont work via podcasts section. I just filmed it - 45 seconds - and its 44MB so how can i share? Max size attachment is 5MB. i would not be able to film it within that size?. Here is a dropbox link if you can access from there ? Thanks Jen
We really appreciate the cooperation @JenC1, but we were unable to view the video.
Could you instead either attach it here via the Insert Video option in the post editor or upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it)? You can also upload it as unlisted YouTube video if you prefer.
Hope to hear from you soon and don't hesitate to let us know if anything else comes up in the meantime.
Hi there, here is the google drive link. Hope this works. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BswgfixOkp-SqZOI32RMBx8eOYOrWfb-/view?usp=drive_link
Thanks
Jen
Thanks @JenC1!
We were able to open the link, but still need permission in order to view the video itself. Could you change the permissions so that anyone can see it? You should be able to do this by going to General access > Change > Anyone with the link.
We'll be on the lookout 🙂
I am so sorry i cannot see where to get to General access > Change > Anyone with the link.
Screen shot attached. I have tried all options is can think of! 😞
No worries @JenC1!
Just click on the three dots at the very right of the video file > Share > under General access it needs to be changed to Anyone with the link and from there you can copy the link itself and post it here.
Let us know if you've got any other questions 🙂
Wonderful thank you - yes thats done now!
Awesome, thanks for the update @JenC1 🙂
With the help of the details you sent over, I tried to recreate this on Apple devices running the same OS versions as you. However, for me it still works as usual, meaning that the episodes appear when opening the podcast & scrolling down on.
Just to confirm, does the same thing happen if you remove the downloaded episodes and then re-download them again? You can try downloading them from both the mobile app and directly through the watch to see if you notice any difference.
Keep us posted!
Hi. Ok so funnily enough - i deleted them all, and retried it - downloading from the phone. Same issue. Then i deleted them all again and tried downloading straight from the watch (which is a new feature right?) and it worked! So it seems i can only get it to work by downloading from the apple watch feature and not from my iphone?? So kind of fixed ????? The timing of this glitching does coincide with the update that you can download from your watch so i wonder if that has anything to do with it?
Appreciate the cooperation and thanks for sharing this info @JenC1.

Thanks please do as it is still not right. For example, via the watch i have downloaded episodes 4 & 5, when i hit play on episode 4 it automatically takes me to 5 instead??? I am only able to download one episode at a time to use remotely - which is frustrating. thanks

My Question or Issue
i have been downloading podcasts for runs for many years, mostly no major issues with spotify watch app. Last month or so since the last update a major bug has appeared though, if i ever download more than one episode of a single podcast, in the downloaded section is days two/three.. SONGS instead of episodes, and when i go into the podcast, none of the episodes show up, and i only have the option to delete them all or play none of them. please fix this bug, its is extremely irritating that this coincides with a rate increase and i can no longer listen to more than one episode of a podcast at a time on my watch. was fine before last month please just fix it.
Hey there @JenC1 & @stnrtn,
Thanks for raising this on the Community!
We've forwarded this to our tech folks and this is being worked on. While we can't give you an exact timeframe, you should notice a difference in the app version 8.9.58. In the meantime, we recommend keeping the app up-to-date to get the latest fixes as soon as they're released.
Cheers 🙂
