Downloading local files on my iPhone creates duplicate songs/files

Downloading local files on my iPhone creates duplicate songs/files

When I try to download local files from my iTunes into spotify, SOME of the songs do this:

In the image (A screenshot from my "Favorites" folder), you can see the "origional" song that's in my playlist (with a red download sign) that isn't syncing with the device, and a second one that IS downloaded to the phone, but isn't in the playlist.  If I add that song to the playlist then switch to my computer, then the original song is playing as normal, but that duplicate song acts how the origional one does on the phone ("Song isn't downloaded on this device").  Does anyone know how to fix this, because it is really annoying when a random portion of your songs "create" a new local file instead of just downloading the original one.
