Feedback Request: iOS Offline Issues

Hello everyone! Spotify here.

We are looking into customer reports about issues with offlined playlists on iOS devices (music which is downloaded to your phone so you can play without an internet connection). Our investigation shows that some folks might have experienced some issues with this so we were hoping you could answer some questions to help us diagnose the problem.

1. Have you made a playlist available offline which you could not play without any internet connection?

2. Have you made a playlist available offline which constantly downloads when you start Spotify?

Thanks,
Team Spotify

for the past 4 days my app on my iphone 5c does not work at all. i open it, it loads for about 5 seconds and then closes out.

I can't play music in my playlists offline using my Iphone.

Can any one help please/

Steven

Mine started doing this since I updated to iOS 8!

way to go Spotify! Glad to see it's not me dealing with this nightmare. Time to request a refund due to a known defect that wasn't properly caught in QA.

Is there a solution to start spotify using IOS8 ?

I just updated my iphone and nothing works.

Cheers

I am trying to sync my playlists I want offline on a new iPhone 6 with iOS 8 and the playlists will not finish syncing. Only half of the songs sync  and when I do try to play the playlists, it usually will play one song and then stop playing. I've tried logging out, restarting the phone, logging back in, changing the sync quality, reinstalling the Spotify app, nothing is working. It only syncs half way and has those playback issues. Is there a fix for this? I have 42gb of free space.

I am on premium, but one of my playllists just won't switch to offline mode. It always worked, but today it switched back and the slider just keeps going back to online even though I want it available offline. I have an iphone 5 and just upgrading IOS. It's really really annoying as I feel as though I'm paying for nothing

After installing Spotify on my iPhone6 now I can't sync any songs. It says "Syncing 1 of 426" and it won't advance. I can't even sync songs on the previous device, iPhone 5S with iOS7! I tried everything: reboot, reinstall, relogin, change language region thing, change sync quality, leave it opened for 10 hours... Nothing works... Sometimes, after setting wifi off and on it says "Syncing 2 of 426" but that's all...
I'm using latest Spotify version 1.7.1.7. Please fix this problem! I need offline playlists...

I tried removing all offline devices from the Spotify web panel but it won't fix it. None of my devices can download songs now... What is going on?

I also have problem with syncing music to offline mode on my new iPhone 6, i can sync single songs but not entire playlist folders which is what i want to do.

Anyone with a solution?

Can't seem to sync any offline local files that already associated to playlists, but songs that are available from spotify works.

I'm unable sync both local files and Spotify playlists. No offline mode for my account 😞

Let's hope Spotify push an update of the iOS app real soon to fix these offline issues.

I have an iphone 5 and since the ios 8 update the whole app crashes within 30 seconds. Reading on this and similar threads it looks as though a large number of people in varying countries are experiencing major problems. What's the point in shelling out monthly fees if you can't use the app. Spotify need to solve these issues urgently. I'll wait until my next payment is nearly due and if its not fixed then I'll cancel my subscription until it is fixed. Spotify please act!!

I've found what was the problem with my offline syncing issue: Spotify was opened and hanged on one of my desktop computers, and this was causing problems with all the iPhones connected to the same network. I guess this is not the same problem than most of you but it may help someone! After force closing Spotify from my computer all the mobile clients started to sync.

Hi there,

I'm experiencing the following problem:

Music that is officially not on Spotify but saved locally on my computer (and then put into my playlists) is not made available offline on my iPhone 6 under iOS 8 (current version 8.0.2). It has never been a problem under iOS 6 or 7 but it seems to have stopped working completely under iOS 8. Same problem with my iPad coincidentally (also iOS 8).

The app just says "Title not available. You can sync this title by marking the playlist available offline and connecting your phone with the same WiFi-network as your computer" etc. Still doesn't work, though.

Could you please provide a fix asap?

Thanks a lot!

Have you connected your iPhone 6 to the Spotify Desktop app to sync the songs back, presumably after upgrading your phone? I don't believe that offline songs would restore from backups...

Hey Swanny,

yes I did connect my iPhone to the Desktop App. But I still can't synchronize the music I have on my Mac and in my playlists but that is not on Spotify to my phone. Is nobody else experiencing this problem?

So i updated the iOS app today and was hoping that the offline syncing/downloading issues had been solved but i`m sorry to say that they are still present, i still can`t sync/download an entire playlist folder on my iPhone 6, only single songs work and that`s not an option for me with hundreds of songs in my playlist folders.

Why push an iOS update if issues are still present? I really don`t get it Spotify..

I am on an iPhone 5 with the latest version of iOS8. Since I updated to iOS 8 (although this had happened a few times back on iOS 7), I cannot access most of my offline tracks without an online connection. When offline, if I go to the 'Artists' tab under 'Your Music', the list of artists displays correctly and the offline track icon is green as expected. However when I actually select an artist name, none of the saved music displays. I'm left with a blank page!

This is massively frustrating as I'm paying for spotify specifically to listen to my music offline. Please fix this issue!
