Files already ON Phone not recognized in Local Files

I put a few albums on my phone manually through Itunes, so the actaul files themselves are in the phone. However, when i go to the local files playlist on the spotify app, it says 0 songs.

How do i fix that?

Hey @bantspandit

There seems to be some confusion on how local files work in the Spotify iOS app.

The Spotify iOS app does not recognize local files that are on your phone. Instead, the Spotify app will need to sync these from your PC over WiFi and store them directly in the Spotify app.

Note: This feature is for Premium users only.

  1. Using the desktop app, add Local Files you want to sync to a playlist.
  2. Log into Spotify on your iPhone using the same WiFi network as your desktop.
  3. Tap the menu button ().
  4. Tap Your Music.
  5. Tap Playlists.
  6. Tap the playlist containing the local files from your computer.
  7. Select the playlist containing the local music files and press the Available Offline switch at
    the top.
  8. A green arrow will appear next to the tracks when syncing is complete.
