I have been told the same but is there such a thing like updating the firmware of stereo? My car is very simple, it doesnt have even bluetooth connection. I can update the firmware of the car but does it effect the aux connection? Besides everything works fine except for spotift. I mean other 3rd party music apps and apples own music app works well. So how come it could be fords problem?

Thats what they say: "Thank you for clarify this, I'm afraid, USB or bluetooth is not officially supported by Spotify and due to that is difficult for us to say for certain how to solve the issue, your feedback will be reviewed by our developer. "

I am done with spotify.

I will try Apple Music.

Please can anyone help me. I live in Canada and I have a 2012 Ford Fiesta. I was told I can listen to Spotify in my car. Can you tell me how I can do that. Also what is this Applink that everyone is talking about.

I am having this issue with a ford transit. Can't believe Spotify haven't sorted this out!!

That's close to two years now that I've had this issue.

Can listen to the first song fine in my Ford Fiesta via USB, but as soon as the 2nd song starts it plays 1 second of the song and skips to the next one, and keeps doing this with each song until I unplug it and start again.

It's definitely a Spotify issue as my Music in iTunes works fine as do my podcasts.

It's seriously annoying isn't it!!

Why is this marked as solved?

I have been able to reproduce this with at least 3 Ford Fiesta 2012-2014 using the simple "applink" USB connection. First song is played, then skips every song after 2-3 seconds. Apple Music works fine.

No fix for this in like 4 years?!?

I am also having this problem! I thought perhaps it was because I was using the free version of Spotify but I have now got Premium and it is still not working. My brother has the same car as me and it works for him in his car so I'm rather confused.

Same here, iOS10, iPhone 6, Ford Focus 2015..

Same issue on a 66 plate fiesta with an iPhone 7plus.... Quite surprised at this really seeing as there are very few supported sync apps. You'd think they would work properly

Same issue. Just purchased a 2014 fiesta. Have iPhone 6s plus and spotify, both are up to date with the latest software/version. Car does not have bluetooth so have to connect via USB cable.

Same issue. Just purchased a 2012 fiesta. Apple Music works well, but Spotify ....

I did get mine to work and this is how I did it.
Make sure your bluetooth is on.
Say Bluetooth audio
Once you hear Bluetooth Audio connected
You then go to your cell phone click on Spotify
Go to your play list
Click on shuffle play
Make use your volume is up on your cell phone and the volume on the car and your all sent.

You have to make sure your bluetooth is sync and it reads Audio and media is connected in the settings on your cell phone.
Hope this helps

same problem here on fiesta 2016.

Hi, the problem still continues. I have Ford Fiesta 2016 and iphone 6s. I'm also premium user of Spotify. Interestingly, if you play song before you plugged-in, that song keeps playing. But when it's finished, the loop is starting again. As I can see, the official community members said something about this problem has been solved but my Spotify is up-to-date and the problem persists.

I have the same problem and it is 2017 now! But I found a little solution that maybe will help y'all.

You have to start a song from a playlist on Spotify and then connect your Phone (IPhone 6 in my case) via USB. The song will play until the end but afterwards the problem starts and the songs are skipping. After several times testing I found out that, if you change the "info" (with the info button right under the cd drive) so often that the screen shows the song name without a number in front of it, you can listen to your whole playlist.

In that "info-mode" the next song will start playing as wished. You also can skip the songs now! You can't choose a new song on your phone (the problem starts again) but you can skip threw the playlist.

I hope this was a little helpful. It's still an annoying problem which should be fixed.

Just got a 2012 Fiesta, still an issue. Gutted.

Hi
I have a 2012 Ford Fiesta and this is what I did.
Sync you phone with your car
You will see on your phone that media and audio is now connected
Go to your music and hit play
Now you should hear you music.
Hope this helps
